So tonight is the big night!! Hopefully tonight we will be conference champions! Everyone's prayers and positive thoughts are greatly appreciated! After this meet, I will be considered a SENIOR! WOW, has time flied by! After nearly 15 years of gymnastics, moving away from my family, waking up for 6 am practices, doing it again at 4 pm that day, waking up the next morning to do it all over again, getting a scholarship, and here I am now going into my Senior year! It has been the time of my life...and I think everyone knows that gymnastics is my passion and I will continue to involve it in my life because there has never been anything that brings out the best in me! I have a love for gymnastics that I dont think can ever be explained. Im looking forward to this meet as well as the year to follow because I believe our team, as well as myself can only get better from here! Something that might put a smile on your face is something that one of the team's read to all of us last night @ the banquet.. im going to try and remember all of them.
YOU KNOW YOUR A GYMNAST WHEN...
1). You use chalk more than soap!
2). You find yourself in your leotard @ 11 o clock at night.
3). When you find your self saying, "Yes I can do a back flip, and no Im not going to the Olympics!!
4). When you find that you have 14 new family members, who happened to be from all over the world.
5). People say, "wow, you look different dressed up."
6). You have tickets to the gun show....O wait your are the gun show, and your not afraid to show em' off.
7). You sit in a straddle while watching TV.
8). Your body cracks loud enough to stop class but you don't hear it.
9). Practice makes perfect, and it isnt just a saying!
10). Every where you go, you must take a picture doing a handstand.
11). You have blisters on your hands for life!
12). Two thirds of your wardrobe is leotards.
So thats just a few, Im sure all gymnast could think of a lot more!
Thank you everyone for all your love and support over the years!
love, love, love!
Here is a picture from when I was in club gymnastics....and one from just recent!
